1 Bedroom Cabins (River Birch and Herons Nest)

River Birch and Herons Nest are spacious and bright one bedroomed cabins and have the same level of comfort as the larger ones. The cabins have been built back to back with verandas facing in opposite directions. River Birch overlooks the lake and gets the early morning sun – fabulous for having breakfast outside and being entertained by all the water birds and their shenanigans.

Herons Nest looks down the pretty stream and faces almost due west, so gets the afternoon and evening sun – perfect for sunbathing and having a glass of wine on the deck whilst watching the sun set. Each cabin is accessed by two steps leading onto the veranda and parking is in the small car park a few metres away. The internal floor space is approximately 50 sq.m.

Living Areas

The dining table in the kitchen is next to a large window, so there is plenty of natural light to read the paper at breakfast time, if you are not having an al fresco breakfast on the veranda.  It also makes a valuable and tranquil work space should you bring your portable ‘office’ with you, although you may get distracted by the views outside! The sitting areas are very comfortably furnished with plenty of seating, cushions, rugs, coffee tables, lamps and of course the large flat-screen Smart TVs. The big windows make the cabins airy and light and you have fantastic views from wherever you are sitting of the lake or stream.

Bedroom & Ensuite Bathroom

From the living room, a door leads directly into a generous sized bedroom with a superking bed (which can be converted to twins) with bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The ensuite bathroom is large, with an extra big shower bath, loo with shelving over and pedestal basin with large mirror, light and shaving point. There are two cupboards in the bathroom – one containing the immersion heater and the other is the utility cupboard for the guests’ use. There is space above the cupboard to store suitcases or anything else needed to be kept out of the way for the duration of the stay.
